I can't believe I've come to this realization. An inline 600 just doesn't cut it. 90+ rwhp or not. It's just no fun.

I guess I'll just have to find a twin/V-4 or a 1000cc I-4.. :(

"Deleted"

I seem to remember many a movie with Ninja in the tile, very few with "deleted" in the title so I think the Ninja wins out.

I asked you to remove this...

are you riding in the 9k+ RPM range where you have all horsepower on tap?
Those 600cc I-4s have to use RPMs to make up for their lack of torque.

on the bright side you get awesome gas milage. My SV1k gets 36-40 now that I've leaned it out, before was getting 32-37. I probably need to un-lean it out to prevent engine damage...

Maybe you just picked a bike from the wrong part of the world. My British 675 is more than enough with its 95hp & 45ft-lb. Only reason I would EVER upgrade to a Speed Triple is for the extra torque, nothing to do with the extra ponies.

I'd like to take a life insurance policy out on you as well. Upgrading to a liter+ because it's not "fun" has squid written all over it.

Interesting. So more power is "squid talk"... Hmm. I wonder if their club has annual membership fees. Maybe leaving all my belongings to the club when I croak/wipe-out will suffice. :p

Seriously though. I think what I really want is more torque down low. I'm tired of having to wind the damn thing up all the time.

When I was in the market for another bike, it was a toss up between this and an SV650. Maybe I should have gone with the twin. :|

No...saying that a supersport isn't fun because 90hp isn't "enough" is "squid talk".

This is a much better reason for why you want to get a different bike.

So go with a twin. There's more than enough of them out there. Either that or an old Monster

Sounds like you want a V-twin. There is a lot to be said for having torque and horsepower.

How about an older 84-86 gsxr 750 with the dry clutch and resto mod it with updated front suspension and cf body bits.

900 SS's are so crazy cheap these days I may have to get one just to stare at it. Saw a rough one on CL here for 2300 recently.
