I have decided to go with that PC4000 corsair since my 2 gig pack of OCZ ram won't run stable above PC2700. It runs stable for a good time on Prime 95 at PC2700 but fails in 1 minute at PC3200, so I have decided to go with a faster pack of ram from a better brand. I have tried memtest 86 on the PC2700 speeds and no failures but havent tried it on the PC3200 speeds, but I believe it'd fail in 2 or 3 minutes like Prime 95.

could you please update your original post with any changes you make? it makes stuff easier.

the XMS ram is a good choice but you can also try out the G.Skill Extreme Series DDR500 ram at $173 or two of these G.Skill CL 2.5 value ram for $142 total. it's a trusted brand

That G.Skill has lots of complaints of being DOA and I don't want DOA ram. I want to get Corsair.
