I will be more open to PSU recommendations, but It needs to be good.
I could consider this PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817163108
and I'll toss the 2 gigs of ram.

$50 case and a $200 PSU? And you're not OC'ing? LOL. Ram is expensive as well considering no OC.

but I want the extra 2 gigs for extra smoothness. besides, overkill is a good thing. :D I also want 2 go cheap on teh case because I want 2 spend dat money elsewhere and I want super quality outta teh PSU, and my Antec TruePower II isn't quite up 2 teh task since it's voltages are 11.43v on teh 12v rail and -7v on teh -12v rail

No it isn't. No game uses more than 2gb of RAM, none. As such you're slowing your PC down by having the unused RAM in the motherboard. I'll say that again, you will never use the 3rd and 4th GB so all it will do is decrease performance by around 5%.

What motherboard have you decided on?

The PSU is a waste of cash for you, but if you haven't accepted that by now then you never will.

I've decided on the motherboard inside my case. :D Not changing it. It's an ABIT KN8 ultra. why change mobos when you can use teh 1 inside teh case and it's compatible w/ teh CPU your upgrading 2. :D Why did I get voted a 4 and a 6? I was upgrading to a good system, not a celeron with an FX 5200.

I voted a 4 because of the choices you made. Total waste of money in certain cases.

You get what you pay 4 when it comes to PSUs. PC power and cooling PSUs are said to last 10 years or more. what were teh wastes of money?

Because your computer won't be running in 10 years for a start.

Saving the money you'd have with after you got a high end PSU would let you buy a new PSU in 5 years with the interest on the saved.

Finally because it's not going to be very good at running that computer in the mean time. Oh it'll power it, no doubt of that, but it'll be noiser, less eficent and less user freindly than the enermax liberty (modular cables).

I gave you the 6 because you have made some good choices, even if it's not that many of them.

some people on newegg reviews say that their PC Power and Coolings lasted them 10 years and are still going strong. When this can no longer run games, I'll build a new one from scratch and regulate this 1 to basic stuff.

New egg reviews are worth nothing. Not worth the bandwidth they are printed on.

I should have knocked it down to a 3 because you keep spelling "the," as "teh."

The ram is expensive because you're not OC'ing. The power supply is overkill, and when I say overkill, I mean like shooting a mouse with an elephant gun. For your budget, that case is a total POS. It makes me think you have a monitor that can't even do 1024x768.

I got a monitor that can do 1600*1200. The Antec Solution SLK3000B makes for good airflow and has exellent reviews and people like them.

You asked for our advice in other threads and then ignored it. Which is why i'm starting to get slightly ticked off. Which means i'm no longer being helpful so i'll just leave this thread.

Good luck with the computer, you will enjoy it that graphics card will see to that.

You could say the same for the Antec P180. If I were building a system with a $1500 budget, I would certainly be able to fit a P180 in there.

I like the Sonata II more than the P180 because in the P180 the PSU is fitted to the bottom of the case. BTW, I am not ignoring your advice, I'm just going with a PSU that I deem necessary. I've changed out the PSU 2 times for the last 2 upgrades because I was afraid of lacking the power and I don't want that this time. The thing I'm afraid of with your recommended PSUs is that they might arrive DOA. Like the Seasonics you guys seem to like, they have complaints of being DOA, to many for me to trust the PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustRatingReview.asp?Item=N82E16817151025

and as for the Enermax Liberty Series:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustRatingReview.asp?Item=N82E16817194004
5 complaints of DOA or blowing up
Besides, I've read somewhere not to trust Modular PSUs.

So, if you can justify the Enermax Liberty or the Seasonic enough QUALITY wise since I don't want to trust $1500 equipment to a PSU that might blow on them, I might consider them. So to Bobthelost, I wasn't ignoring your advice, I am simply wanting a PSU that has the least chance of blowing up my system. Let me ask you this, if you were building a $1xxx system, would you trust it to a PSU that has some complaints of blowing up or a PSU that was the best quality and didn't have so many complaints of it blowing up?

BTW, what website does have good reviews? Is pricegrabber's reviews good?

So, how do you guys think about my not-so-overkill system that I built after getting PC power and cooling stubborness out of my head?

I don't know if I'm posting 2 fast or not, but I'm wondering how you guys like my revised rig, with the 2 gigs of ram thrown out and the PSU to a Silverstone Zeus 650W PSU.

Wow, I have never seen someone so paranoid about a part arriving DOA.

I have built over a dozen systems in the past 3 weeks, and the ONLY thing I needed to have rma's was a dvd burner. That's A LOT of parts. An Antec True430 would be all you need as far as a PSU. You are NUTS spending more than $100 on a PSU when you aren't even overclocking. Hell my Dell 375W runs my 7800 GTX just fine.
