Well if you're going to get 2 dx10 cards at any time, invest in the necessary size psu now. Only if you're sure though. If you only want to get one at all, get the enhance 5150gh. If you know you're getting 2, go with the silverstone zeus 850w. The x2connect is OK, but there are better psus out there (see: enhance 5150gh) for a similar price.
HSF: I can't remember, are you ocing a lot? If so, get the $35 scythe mine from newegg. It is easily in the top 5 (equal to ninja) hsf out there and pretty cheap too. If you are doing a moderate oc, go for the $21 freezer 7 pro from provantage. it is very similar in cooling performance but lags a little in dba (only like 3dba). Great value.

EDIT: Oh! RAM... that xms is great for ocing and is pretty much compatible w/ everything. Decent price too.

The PSU you got is perfect... so long as you dont need more than the 550 watts it provides. I have the very same one, the modular is very nice.

You are totally wrong!!!

hybrid drive is a drive with flash memory on board. there are the flash drives introduced by samsung and there are hybrid drives now. just really rare and really expensive.

sounds pretty dumb.

get stuff now that go with the system, don't hold back on anything. once the stuff comes out, sell what you don't need or want, and upgrade to the things you want.

I mean, no graphics card for the pci-16x, that's pretty cold for a system, not to mention pretty stupid.

the gfx cards out today are fast enough to run just about anything.

Purdue, if these new DX10 cards (well the high-end ones) use 300W per card, no multi-rail PSU can handle that, just not enough power per rail. This is what I hear, and until something else comes along I'm sticking to it.

I've heard that the G80 cards will have their own PSU block. I'm not sure, but it seems possible!

Correct me if I'm wrong.

You can buy a second PSU to go in your 5.25" bay (Fortron makes a couple) and power your other GPU with that, if that's what you mean.

Great! So are you since you didn't fricken explain! Congradulations on the first pointless post this morning!

I realize that, but usually he'll come back with some wiseass remark and cr@p on my life. This time, it was just stupid!

Are you saying he doesn't? W/e, his contribution to this thread is non-existant, therefore he is non-existant in this thread... I am one with the forum... 😕 hehe.
Uhhh... getting this thread back on topic, the enhance 5150gh is the same price as the ultra x2 connect, and is of better quality. (see: teapo capacitors, bigger heatsinks, superior power current)

No, of course not 😛 Usually you can find crazy deals on Ultra supplies, that make them much cheaper then retail BTW.

Thanks alot this is really helping me. Ok i got the Fan i might be all set. if anyone has any other suggestions feel free to post. You can suggest cases now to. And thanks again for all your help!
