The nF4-D is moddable to SLI and SATAII, save a few bucks here and there

The P180 have 4 120mm fans, you can run low speed fans with low noise levels

Yeah I am not too concerned with noise at all, anything would be more quiet then what I have now....it sounds like a jet is trying to take off in my house.

Looks nice, did you get 4 x 512MB of the OCZ memory? If so, remember you can only run it at 2T on that chip. Otherwise, enjoy! I would have to say B.

Do you think it would make that much of a diference at 2x1GB sticks, would it make a much of diference to run at 1T

Watch out for your cooler, the 7700Cu is really really heavy. Unfortunately, I think Thermalright lists the Dfi as incompatible with the xp-120, so I guess you're stuck unless you want to wait for the Zalman 9500, or switch to the xp-90, which is nearly as good as the xp-120. What video card(s) are you running?

B. Loud fans, and not enough storage space. Throw a 160 - 250gb drive in there just for storage, and I'd give it an A.
Tas.

Oh no!!! I didn't look at the weight issue with the Zalman.....what should I get??? is the xp-90 as good at cooling??? what is the best fan I can get for cooling, I don't care about the noise at all.

The xp-90 is maybe 1-2 degrees hotter than the xp-120, but you can pretty much equalize performance if you really don't care about noise. Stick a 92mm vantec tornado on there and use speedfan or a fan controller to vary its speed.

The XP120 DOES work with DFI nF4 series

I have it on my nF4-D modded to SLI/SATAII

Dude, go to thermalright.com and check the motherboard compatability listings for the xp-120 on amd boards: it clearly states "DFI Lanparty UT nF4 Ultra-D ---- First PCI-e slot blocked by Heatpipes" If you don't care about that first x1 slot, then yeah I guess it would fit.

Thanks for that info....I don't want to block the slot, I will stay away from it.

I still say go for the P180, it doesn't look like this is a budget system anyway and the noise reduction will save you another "I need to get another rig that's quieter than my current rig." But otherwise good specs, I would definitely want that!

Oh and +DFI and -Epox, just go DFI they're friggin' awesome. I run an Abit and home and a DFI at my other home, best two mobo's I've ever had.

Look at some of the comparisons in the CPU/Overclocking section, it should give you an idea of what to expect. Also, overclocking with 4 sticks can get kind of iffy, I would go with 2 x 1GB. Crucial makes some Ballistix that is guaranteed at PC4000.

the vantec tornado is the best 92mm fan for airflow that I've ever seen... although it comes at the price of 50dBA or so. How much overclocking are you doing?

I don't know how much overclocking I will be doing at first, but at least the fan will be there if I decide I want to OC
