4.4ghz @ about 77 Celsius average

system:
i7 2600k
asus P8Z68-V/GEN3
16gb corsair vengence
corsair Hydro H60 water cooler

is this good?

You have some work to do, high temps and voltage for that one, i.e. my 2500k is running 4.5 at 1.28 and Linpack at 58-63 max.

Try running Intel Burn Test 2.53 and report back the temps. Dont leave it on auto, manually choose 8 threads and set for maximum memory.

Thanks for the reply guys

lot of people saying this over clock if too hot with too hgih voltage, but it seems to be in line with very similar i7 2600k overclock on overclockers.com

what do you guys think?

My answer depends on what kind of voltage is required for 4.3ghz. If it's a big difference (which it probably is if you're generating that kind of heat with 4.4) I'd go down to 4.3 or even 4.2.

My 2500k currently does 4.8 @ ~1.425 volts (hard to say with the offset) but the temps stay in the low 60s so it's perfect for me.
