I give you an 8.5. I agree with all of your choices aside from the videocards. Should have gone with a single-card solution for now so you can add a second one later if you want. 2 6600GTs make no sense IMO.

Should be an amazing rig regardless. Congrats!

I'll give it an 8/10. Good system, but I would have gone with a single 6800gt rather than the 2 6600gts for about the same price. How much did that cost you? I am planning on building a very similar system myself in the coming months.

5/10

IMO, very poor choice on video card IMO. I would have bought one 6800GT or a 6800 Ultra for now. also would have got a Logitech MX-510 or a Microsoft Intellimouse (IMO, the best). For your other DVD drive would have went with a Samsung SD-816. Would have went with Crucial, OCZ, or Corsair ram too.
Func 1030 is best mousepad ever also!

The video card choice killed your score, sry. :( Good choice on Mobo, DVD burner, PSU though!

I'm sure you'll be happy with it though.

I would have gone with the 6800gt, but it was at least $150 more than 2 6600gts

$550 for a 6800gt! Ouch! Yeah, it kinda sucks with all the price gouging going on. I plan on waiting a few months until supply increases and demand/prices decrease. I also have to get enough money...

"i heard" isn't good enough. where are the facts? home and pro both perform the same. most home users don't need the extra networking features pro provides.

XP Pro has more features that aren't necessary to your average gamer, let alone average home user. Which is why they made XP Home.

Is M$ going to let XP Home Edition users trade up to XP 64 for free like the XP Pro users will be able to?

1. It's a list of parts. Lists of parts are nothing special in this forum. Every other thread has a list of parts.
2. It all depends on what the final cost of the items turns out to be.

And the rain comes down... :brokenheart:

[Edit] - Oops, I forgot to give you a rating... "5" for lack of imagination. :p

When it come down to it, just shut up, order the damn thing, and build. If you did enough research in all aspects, you should be okay. No need to get anyone's approval but your own.

BTW, it's all good when it POST the first time. Good luck
