That is exactly the application I am thinking about getting a Pi for. I'm still on the fence about it though.

i just tried RetroPie, game emulations, on the rpi v1. the lag is unbearable.
anyone have better luck with MAME on retroPie with rpi v2?

OK, mine finally arrived from Allied today.

So, what are you guys doing with this thing?

Once I get moved to a new house, I'm going to use one to make a NVR to manage my cameras.
