hopefully stoudemire goes next :)
Getting rid of Bonzi (especially to Hubie Brown's team) was a good move, same w/Jeff McInnis

Wow almost $58 million saved towards the cap for the Hawks if they don't resign Rasheed. Again, only Problem is I don't know if Kobe & other key free agents are willing to come to Atlanta. But they definitely can outbid other teams when it comes down to money.

I hope Sheed will start to play to his full potential, realising that he is no more an asset.

kobe, Garnett and anyone else out there will at least COURT the hawks in order to get their number up.

the grizz will make it to the playoffs. The question is whether Utah , portland, or seattle will make it.

This is funny. I was watching WWE Raw for a couple seconds and apparently they were in Portland. Rasheed and a bunch of his teammates were there.....little did he know what was going to happen later that night.

I'm not a big basketball guy but I've always felt Abdur-Rahim was underrated. Terrific move for Portland.

Naw, the Blazers can easily make the playoffs. They're 24-25 and the number 8 spot is 29-23. Also, the season is only half over, a strong finish to the season and they're in.

Almost 60%, not 50%.

If the Grizz maintain their current pace, they'll finish 46-36. That means the Blazers would have to finish 23-10 to finish 1 game ahead. That is very unlikely.

It is possible, of course, but it would likely take a Grizz (or Nuggets) collapse, since I don't think the Blazers can be that good.

The Nuggets had a hot start and are something like 10-20 since. They're slumping, but no one is really making a push to catch up to them, the Blazers can do it, along with Utah.

Yep. Nuggest down, Portland up. If Portland maintains this pace they give themselves a good shot. I never said it was a lock they were in, but they are certainly in contention for that last playoff spot. I like the trade so much because Wallace's departure gives the Blazers a chance to focus on the positive. If Shareef and Ratliff come in as team players from the get go, they could capture lightning in a bottle and make the playoffs ahead of expectations. Sports is not just about ability, but motivations and keeping a positive outlook regardless of current circumstances.

He bought a house AND moved his whole family there. Ouch.

There were hints that he might resign with the Blazers at the end of the season, though (although at a much discounted cost, I would imagine).

If you're not a starter you should pretty much be living in fancy condos or apartments. People get traded so fast these days.

Sheed will be a Knick next year. Portland misses the playoffs and gets a lottery pick for the 1st time in over 2 decades. Dump stoudamire and patterson and get a good young player in the draft. Dickau is from Portland so they will love him. Portland looks to change their image in 1 season.

Reading the NY Post today and got a chuckle when they spelled his name Rashweed Wallace in the story. I'm pretty sure it was done on purpose.

WTF. This is probably going to eat into Shareef Abdur-Rahim's minutes, and he's on my fantasy BB team. :(

I just found out Abdur-Rahim is part of the deal. Now I'm not sure what will happen to his minutes/stats.

That would be cool, but can he handle the pressure of playing in NYC ?

As long as someone CTC, he won't care whether he plays well or not.
