Rare Pontiac on ebay bid over 80K

Wow, that car look like nothing but junk, I would have had no idea either.

I love this:
Q: Great find !! I hope you have the car under 24 hour guard with dogs and shotguns. This thing is so valuable I'm afraid someone might try to steal it. Good for you for letting the auction run to the end. I expect you'll hit a home run with this one. Congrats, John. Nov-05-08
A: YEP = PITBULL WITH AIDS AND A SAWED OFF 12 GAUGE AUTOMATIC , GOT'ER UNDER CONTROL, THANKS

I like this quote from the seller.

AS YOU ALL KNOW BY NOW , THIS IS THE SD THAT WAS DRIVEN BY STAN ANTLOCER. I,M NOT SURE ABOUT RETREIVING THE FRONT CLIP FROM FLORIDA,THAT WILL BE THE WINNERS QUEST. HOWEVER HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM. THE PAYMENT METHOD WAS FEDERAL RESERVE NOTES OR PAYPAL AND I CAN,T SEE TRYING TO PULL THIS MUCH MULA OUTTA PAYPAL. SO YOU NEED TO CONSIDER A DUFFLE BAG FULL OF THE GREEN STUFF. THANKS,DALE

I take it you know little about cars. That car for its age is in good shape. Very little rust infact, most is just surface. Should not be hard to get it up and going if you know what you are doing.

The car is 47 years old. It's not going to look brand new. A '61 Pontiac is hot.

Dang, history at its finest, little TLC and reshaping of the bumpers that car will be sleek and fast like it was. Hope they put the 326 or the 421 stated in the bio, that would be great. Sweet machine.

Please pass on to me any rare impossible to restore cars that you stumble across and I'll dispose of them for you.

That car is fine. All the sheet metal is repairable and there doesn't seem to be any real body rot.

I wouldn't be surprised if this car sells for over $100k.

It is one of only 6 manufactured, two were destroyed in an accident, one was restored and the remaining 3 are listed as whereabouts unknown. So this might be one of only 2 cars in existence.

This guy's pretty funny. What a lucky find. 🙂 I wonder if we'll be seeing this at Barret Jackson in a few years?

Harrison, MI...I could drop by when I'm home for Thanksgiving and see it if it's still there. 😉 Probably a lot of hidden treasures like this around Michigan.

I wonder what he'll buy with the unexpected money?

It's in Harrison, are you thinking Harrison Twp? Harrison is up by Houghton Lake. That's a bit of a drive 😉
