I prefer it medium-rare, but don't really care how others like it. Notice how food police douchefag types like you never preface your lame rants with "in my opinion"?

Usually when an opinion question is asked, like in the OP, one shouldn't have to preface their statement with "in my opinion"... it is rather implied is it not?

That being said, any chef is going to tell you medium rare is how it should be cooked. That's the default cooking style. Sometimes people want it well done. Very often that steak is going to be microwaved or deep fried (go ahead, ask a chef)

As for blood on your plate, you can get medium rare without it swimming in its own blood.

Funny that people bitch about "food police". I don't think you'd find a chef at any steakhouse in America that would eat a steak cooked past medium rare.

You can eat your steak however you want, but there simply is more flavor in a less cooked steak. I like my steaks blood rare, burgers I do medium rare only because they are too soggy when cooked rare.

Well the lead idiot calling "Bullshit" is in NZ... so who knows how they eat it there (but I assure you its the same as here... or ANYWHERE).

Medium rare is the only way. If you are unsure please undercook it.

BTW-There is very little blood left in the meat. Those reddish juices are just that...juices. Think of it as meat flavored water. It isn't blood.

Meat flavored water, suddenly my water sitting here seems unappealing. 😀

I eat rare steaks all the time. No decent steak place would serve a liquid filled plate.
