It's a good value just like the used G8 GT and they look pretty, and while never having driven one, we can assume from its sales figures that it's just not that great. Dropping a powerful engine into a model does not make it a great car (read: Impala)

Someone on my block has a G6 GT coupe and I think it looks better than my Altima SE.

From Inside Line:

"2009 Pontiac G6: In an effort to get more mileage out of the base 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, Pontiac makes a six-speed automatic transmission optional on the base 2009 Pontiac G6 sedan. Offered in lieu of the standard four-speed automatic, the six-speed is part of the base four-cylinder sedan's Sport Package 1 option group, which also includes stability control and chrome wheels. The transmission's extra gears are good for an extra 3 mpg on the four-cylinder G6 sedan's EPA highway rating.

I think they could have squeezed an extra 5 mpg if not for the damn chrome. Haven't GM caught on yet? Nobody likes the freaking chrome!

I imagine that GM has only produced few hundred of these

Beauties

The presence of the manual in a G6 makes it much better looking for me for some reason. Also, the manual version of G6 is no longer offered...
