Have you guys seen Citrons old version of crash safety? They used to roll the car off a mountain, if it could be driven when it landed then it passed the test... amazing how things move on.

I agree. You can't live your life in a risk-free bubble. Riding in that car is an experience that I NEVER would have passed up when I was a kid, and I'd have a hard time saying no to my kids if they wanted a ride.

And yeah, I rode to school every day in a school bus with no seat belts. Every kid did. The risk is small because in a head on collision between a school bus and any passenger car on the road, the bus is going to win. The risk was small in this case, because it was just one short trip, probably at relatively low speeds.

It's unfortunate situation, but don't blame the victim.
