Raptors in raid 0

Hi,

I'm putting together a new P55D system, with two 74 gig raptors in raid 0.

My 74 gig raptors have these jumper options: PUIS (power up in standby), SSC (spread spectrum clocking) and OPT1 (max 1.5 gb/s transfer speed); I've never used these options, but my old board was only good for 1.33 gb/s. I assume the last option, OPT1, should be enabled, but I'm unsure about the other two.

What jumper settings should I make to maximize both performance and stability?

Lastly, is it ok to use two of the sata style, power connectors on the same cable to power both drives or should I use a separate cable for each drive?

Any and all information appreciated!

thanks,

John

I bought two 74gb raptors years ago for just this, and they're still in the box, not quite as big a deal anymore🙂 good luck.
