Any chance these will drop in price anytime soon? They are priced pretty high. I would think they would sell a lot better at $189 ish.

From what I see, they are selling pretty well at whatever price they are at now. There is not such a big market for SATA drives yet, as there are not all that many SATA capable motherboards yet (relatively speaking. The population of enthusiast messageboards such as this don't represent the rest of the computer-using population). I agree, they will drop in price when a newer model is released, and/or when they are little older than about two months. You want to be on the bleeding edge, be ready for your wallet to bleed...

They're priced as being equivalent to SCSI drives of the same capacity, which also sell for $275-325. So don't expect more than a minor drop for a long while, unless a competing 10K SATA drive appears for less.
