As someone pointed out on Reddit, maybe it doesn't matter? Their point is that writing is a utensil for communicating and this person has effectively communicated their point despite having non-standard spelling and grammar.

That would be fine if this person hadn't spent most of their life going through the american education system. If they got that far without being held back or given special classes to rectify his failing English that just shows you how shitty the system really can be.

Kid 1: I want to be an astronaut!
Kid 2: I want to be a veterinarian!
Kid 3: I want to be a policeman!
Kid 4: I want it be Rapper yo! School is for fools! I ain't need no learnins!

Help the fucker by holding him back, he never should have gone to high school with that level of english. If at the age of 18 he decides school isn't for him and he drops out fine. But don't just push him along until he is a senior in highschool and then let him graduate...

I'd agree but then you know the shithead parents will get involved and blame the school and threaten lawsuits and the Principal will cave...
 
This student has the grammar and penmanship of a third grader. Perhaps his/her arrested development is endemic of a public school system bereft of any structure, discipline or belief system. Duh?

I know that's why it happens, I have seen it happen first hand. I think we need to shift away from that attitude and take a more vested interest in the education system in this country. Get rid of no child left behind, start holding kids back if they don't pass a yearly skills test, if the parent doesn't want their kid held back give them the option of private school or letting their kid drop out without a diploma.

This isn't entirely fair. Obvious literacy issues aside, there are plenty of kids whose ultimate goal is a career in music. The difference is that this kid most likely won't take on $200,000 in debt for a degree in pop composition because he'll never make it into college (unless he's a great quarterback).

I was being thesicious.

Some kids do need to get a swift kick in the face from Captain Realism though. Not everyone can be a Sports or Music star, I think most of the problem comes from pretentious fantasies so they can impress...rather than becoming a better person themselves.

I'd rather be a successful rapper than a successful astronaut, vet, or policeman and make as much in a year as they do in, what, ten? Twenty? Their entire life?
