There it is, funnest damn thing I've seen all day.

Assuming that is that you meant that the Anti-War people with their "Bush is dumb", "Bush is a war monger", "The US is going to take over the Iraqi oil fields for themselves" idjits are logical and reasonable then yep, that's funny. Sad, but funny.

are you sad because the gung ho idiotic arguments do not work in real life or because the anti-war arguments do?

Either way, contact someone who can help you with your problems, this can't be good for you...

As for the insults, I would think that some of you would be well above that, but I guess I am slowly being proven wrong. Too many discussions on here degrade into something that I could envision 10-year-olds saying.

</rant version="2.0">

I'm sorry you think people are throwing around the word communism for no good reason, but you are completely wrong.

The protesters this weekend were by and large anti-capitalists/socialist, and yes, communists. Anti Semitic, Anti White, also. The protests were organzied by a group called A.N.S.W.E.R., aka IAC, aka the Communist Workers World Party which is headed by former Sec. of State Ramsey Clark. It IS a communist organization that hates America and capitalism. Ramsey Clark was a representative (lawyer) for Slobodan Miloslevic, among others notorious criminals and enemies of democracy and the United States. You don't know all these things because the lame mainstream media doesn't tell it to you.

Do some research, don't fall for what the mainstream media gives you.

The only reason I am sad is because you idiots could make some useful arguments against the war.
Instead you let idiots like Hagbard derail any usefull discussion with their tin-foil hat conspriacy arguements. There are good reasons not to go into Iraq and good reasons to take out Saddam. With people like the last few posters that discussion cannot be held here. That's one reason to be sad.

Discussions can rarely be held here because of people like you etech, finally you will stoop to personal insults and get a flame war going...

yet you rarely want to discuss the anti-war sides arguments, you are more for pushing your own arguments...

You think the people in Iraq hate you? Could it be that theyre just affraid and oppressed? Anyone see the "election" there? 99.9% ... thats a pretty impressive win for Mr. Saddam. Oh yes... they must REALLY LOVE him if he got that high.

Common. The people in iraq are your brothers and sisters. They have children just like you do, borthers like you do. They love like you do. This nationalism crap, making us feel superior to them wont help solve this. Glory and honour to our country? hell no, i say glory and honour to you brothers and sisters.

Well, everyone except for the complete morons like axiom understands that the 99.9 % votes is because of a dictatorship, i assume you meant that as irony (or is my sarcasm meter way off?)...

I say, you leave them alone, they'll leave you alone...

I have just lost patience with people like you and haggard. The arguments you post are not based on logic or what is happening in the world today.

So yeah, I lost it tonight, deal with it. It was just one too many stupid arguments that pissed me off.

BTW, Saying I don't like to discuss is laughable. I'll discuss relevant points till the cows come home. Conspiracy theories and arguments such as "Bush is dumb", Bush is a war monger", it's all about the oil will get you the response that they deserve. If you don't like it, then come up with a decent response to the topic.

There was no opposition and the rules stipulate that no man can vote for himself nor can any vote for anyone not on the ballot be counted.

The .01% is the traditional Islamic allowance for error. Only God is allowed to be perfect.

Here is an article from Salon from 1999 that details Clark working for war criminals like Milosejiv. Salon on Clark

If you want more on Ramsey Clark go to Front Page Mag. There are a couple of articles up today about the protests this past weekend. You can also do a search of their archives for more info on the nutcase Ramsey Clark and his ilk who hate America.

Lumping us together makes you look rather foolish, if you would have paid attention you would know that i and hagbard rarely agree (yes i disagree with both of you at times)...

But why bother, right? you have your opinion of what i have said made up before i have even said it...

That is why i will not bother responding or arguing to anything you have to say, it's nothing personal, it's just you being stooopid... :D

Whatever, if the best you can come up with is another of your insults I see no reason to try and have a discussion with you either.

Good day.

Relax, did i insult you? no, i did not, it's your practice to personally insult, not mine...

If you cannot take some sarcasm, then don't read my posts... nothing personal but stupid... do i really need to point out that it is sarcastic?

I thought maybe you had unbiased sources to back up your accusations. But apparently you can't tell the difference between real news and the incredibly slanted crap that comes from Front Page.

Learn english.
sarcasm
NOUN:
1. A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound.
2. A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.

It was an insult no matter how you try to couch it.

well i read most of this thread and i dont know why the pro-war people are commenting on the terrible things that saddam has done. there are several goverments that are constantly doing bad things to their people but we dont comment on that or try to "liberate" those people. what would have other countries have done ( if they knew about it ) when the US military did chemical testing on its own citizens without thier knowledge ?

also if i remember right bush was gearing up for a war before the inspectors went over there. with that what evidence did bush have to gear up for a war. if he does have knowledge of such weapons why hasn't the inspectors been informed of these facts. i am not saying to give up the sources but mybe just a nudge in the right direction, they have been over there for months now and all this tension could be avoided.

I am not pro-war. I am against the idea of leaving Saddam in power if he does not abide by the cease-fire agreement that he signed. I think he is a danger to world stability and if he is allowed to use the billions of dollars he will get from selling oil once the sanctions are lifted it will be very difficult and much more costly to contain him.

I am not for war to keep him from hurting his countryman. It's obvious that the US cannot prevent all harm from happening to people. I point out that he is a despotic leader that will hurt his own people to show that there is no reason to believe that he has reformed in any way from the leader that started both the Iran-Iraq war or the Gulf War.

The US has given some information to the UN weapons inspectors. It must be done carefully to protect the sources it is obtained from. It's also probably not "Saddam has VX nerve gas stored at 123 Mockingbird Lane" but the fact that we know he has people working on it. He has the materials and information to make it. In other words, we know it's there but quite possibly not exactly where.
