WHAT THE FUCK! I closed my account with you on November 21st. I called you 8 days in advance. I returned the shitty DVR cable box that I had to rent from you. But, not only do you not refund me the difference (billing starts on the 18th of every month), you don't fucking close my account and charge me again for this month.

Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK!?!

Hmmm...we don't seem to have a Cox customer service forum.
No we don't. But maybe the service providers should start penalizing themselves when they make shitty ass mistakes. Nope, when they make a mistake, the customer pays for it, because now its up to the customer to fix it. Thank God I had transfered extra money into my checking account this month that it covered this unexpected expense.

i can see not refunding you for nov 22 to dec 17. but they're charging you for dec 18 to jan 17 as well? that's awesome. too bad you already turned in the box or you could have thrown it through their window.

I closed my cable at my previous address on Oct. 31 and started new service on Nov. 2.

For some reason I recieved a bill a few weeks ago for Nov-Dec service at my old address. The timeline doesn't seem to add up. Shouldn't that bill have come at the beginning of Nov or end of Oct?

So I called and got put on hold for 45 min by a customer service rep. When they came back they told me to disregard it.

Well - I did and it seems they disregarded my disregarding. I got another bill that implied the account was on a fast track for collection if I didn't pony up the $120.

Cable companies have devolved into the scum of the earth.

Yeah, and its not like they are being penalized for making mistakes like this. Its up to the customer to fix their bullshit mistakes.

Yeah Charter pulled the same BS on me.
Called them to close my account, they asked me what day I wanted it shut down and I told them TODAY cause I was moving out of that house that day.
Everything seemed OK, until I got next months bill for the old address. WTF
Needless to say I had some elegent words for them the next time I called.

That's why I never accept automatic billing.

You want my money, you gotta ask for it. If you have a billing problem, you don't get the funds until it's fixed. It's my money, not your tithe.

Verizon DSL five years ago. Called them and cancelled my account, sent back the modem, etc. Two moths later and they're still charging me. I call and tell them to stop it and to refund my money. Just to make sure, I also cancel the credit card.

Now collection agencies call me because of Verizon's mistakes.

Strange bit is that I moved from North Los Angeles to South Los Angeles, and I installed Verizon DSL at my new place... and I had it for three years. How is it that they couldn't find me??
