This lady was on tv was talking about infidelity and she was saying how its perfectly normal, something like upwards of 1 out of 2 people will do it in their life and that couples just need to get over it more or less.... almost as though its a natural occurrence for relationships/obstacle...HELLO?

Whatever happened to morals? I could see divorcing someone and fooling around but doing that while you have a family and spouse is just insulting to them.

MOST RETARDED POLL OPTIONS EVER.

Uh you have 3 answers vaguely equivalent to "yes" (though I don't know what a 'jeuh' is) and one "no."

Seriously. This poll is retarded as hell. There are three yes options, and the only no option implies that everyone is married. What the fVck is wrong with you, dumbass? I have trouble comprehending that anyone could be so mind numbingly stupid that they make polls like this.

DWW, you have failed to mention the lady in the first place. If we knew her name, we might be immediately able to question her credibility or authority. From whence came the statistics?

That aside, supposing her claim of facts is true: I say further reason we should legalise polygamy. What is the point of monogamy if permitting cheating? Why the denial through the legal system?

I cannot speak for other people, but what I do know is the following: If you make a contract with me to stay married and faithful, I will not take any excuses for breaching the contract. I'll dump your a$$ before you knew it, except if there were kids. And in spite of kids, there's a limit I can take. If you want to cheat, let's enter another contract that permits you to be with anyone. Needless to say, it would no longer be cheating by definition.

luvly: I don't recall the name

As for the contract yes I do think along that lines. Then again the "marriage" contract in general has changed from its original intent in recent years anyhow. I think there needs to be a couple different licenses to define the meaning for that particular couple.

Normal? Probably. If 70% of people committed murder that'd be defined as normal too though. So your screwy poll aside, do you really want to use this woman's phrasing (in which case the stats answer your question) or rephrase it for morality (in which case it would be a worthy discussion topic)?

I think it's become normalised in the media and in general society. I don't think it's as common or normal as it's percieved. And no matter how "normal" it gets, I still don't think it's right.

i think it probably happens a lot but that doesn't make it the right thing to do or any easier to deal with. it happens, you either deal with it or you don't.
