So I'm going to work today (I'm taking co-op education at my high school so I work at a placement (Compaq Services in my case)) and I really need to go to the bathroom to take a leak. Mind you this is about 10mins before I will reach work. Let me just say why I need to go, I had some trouble in the morning at home and I drank LOTS of water to cleanse my stomach..I did goto the washroom before I left...and as it turned out..I had to go again.

So anyway, I get off at St. George Subway station (Toronto-residents will know this as being a rather big and busy station) to change subway lines. Anyway, I go ask the person who works there where the washroom is...he says there is none!! wtf?? How can busy subway station which is one of the stations which is the connection point for two sbuway lines not have a washroom??? Madness I tell you!

I had to hold it in..and run to my workplace in the snow..and then let it all out in the washroom...oh man that felt good...didn't think I Could make it..but I did!

end rant.

if i had to clean public restrooms, I would brick up the entrance and tell everyone there are no toilets to be found.

I agree that the public washrooms in some subway stations are dirty (I know Kennedy Station has a washroom) but when you really gotta go you don't really care!

you wouldn't be able to pay me enough.....

Anyone that's lived in NYC understands why there are no public restrooms in any of the subway stations (except for Grand Central). The reason is Homeless People. They will live (literally set up home) in public restrooms. They'll harass you while your taking a leak. They'll block the entrance to the bathroom and demand you pay them to use the restroom.

NYC has one of the worst homeless problems in the USA. Everywhere you look, there's a bag-lady or some bum sleeping on the sidewalk. Sad, but that's the way it is.

Lol.

Yeah, I think only Yonge/Bloor and Kennedy have washrooms.

Btw, to you americans: I've been riding on the subway for several years now and I have yet to see a homeless person in any station. We don't have these kinds of probs here.
