RANT:Who SHOULD lift up the toilet seat?!

[rant]This is stupid and ridiculous and its just a dumb ploy by women to get men to do
stuff for them. Men can go to toilet..seat up or down, no matter, we can go about our
business and get the job done. Women, need the seat down and have somehow convinced the
world that its the MAN's job to lift up the toilet seat?...HELL, when u need something you DO IT YOURSELF!

In my case, we have 3 guys and 1 gal in the house, she INSISTS the men lift up the seat. I say if ur the
minority, U DO THE LIFTING after ur done. How is it women put down the seat when they use it and
then are so damn lazy and leave it as it is and then expect the men to lift it ? I say u put it down, u should
then lift it back up. WHAT IS THIS BULLCRAP?![/rant]
 
You should leave it as you like. I don't know why women think guys have to always leave the seat down, but really you should leave it as you just had it.
 
easy solution:
everybody put both the seat and lid down after using the can; everybody has to lift something then.

I leave the seat down though........ I grew up in a house with 5 sisters :Q

I say if it's up and you need it down, put it down. If the seat is down and you need it up, lift it up. It shouldn't matter if you are male or female.

exactly..u have a need, u take care of it...only women have this idiot notion that men be made the ambassador of
lifting toilet seats up for them. WTF!
 
If it pisses her off that much, next time she bitches about it tell her to get off her fat ass and go out and buy a urinal for you guys.

That's why I've always jokingly asked, "don't you bother to LOOK where you're sitting first?" I know I just don't go blindly backing in whenever I have to sit down on it.

I just usually leave it how I left it and she doesn't seem to mind.

 
I usually leave it up and she usually leaves it down. That way, there's a chance that we'd would use the bathroom and get it just the way we like.
 
i agree, MAKES NO SENSE!

anyways peopel should just leave both lids down always... never know when a rat wants to come out, and you don't want little sh!t molecules flying everywhere when you flush.
 
i've tried the "leaving the lid down" techinique and it doesn't work.

so if you don't put it down, i am NOT going to leave it up.
