You are with A. They helped you get with A by seeing to it that you and A spent time together. No matter what they said about you, they did help you start a relationship with A. Keep sight of that when considering your friendship. Don't blow things out of proportion, or end a friendship because of this situation.

No?... But.... TV... uhm.... come on... it HAS to be a parody, no?

Ok then *grml*

I wish it was... But tell ya what, I'll make up for it this weekend by posting a :camera: or two.
I know ATOTers can't stand a female being mentioned without pics to view (and please, no one-handed typing when I do post the pics 😉 )

That's your solution of the day, isn't it? 😀
even better. find T's car, throw a brick at it, then fight T. 😀

And then I could start a Freddie Prinze Jr movie and do the wild thing in less then 15 seconds!!!!😛
Ok, you guys are cheering me up, thanks!

Is your gf still with you and doesn't care about what they said? I hope she is. I missed that in the original post.

You're missing the big picture here. They told her that you just wanted to get laid, and she still went out with you. What are you doing on Anandtech?

Ok, so one of my close friends (we'll call her V) and her boyfriend (T, also a close friend) were talling me a couple of months ago about this girl V works with and how well we would get along.
Fast forward to Halloween, this girl (A) is at a party my roommate and I show up to, thought she was fun, but had a boyfriend.
Shortly after, V and T start calling every weekend to invite me out with the 2 of them and A.
A and I hit it off, boyfriend goes buh-bye, we've started seeing each other...
So last night, after our LOTR:ROTK date, we were talking and she says that I am nothing like what people told her I was...and I said, "What?"😕
Apparently, my "close friends" told her that I am just in it for "nookie" and I don't ever have serious relationships. V & T, the people who both sat with me through the split w/ my ex and the hell she put me through with our unborn child, apparently deemed it necessary to tell A this even though it is nothing like me. I haven't even dated anyone in over 2 years, and this is the first time I've been truly interested in someone in that time. Some friends... Thankfully, A thinks differently than they do, but it is still frustrating.:|

Sorry, just needed to get that out somewhere
Thanks
Nick

More than likely they were trying to make her feel pleasantly surprised or special when she found out you weren't like that with her, regardless of if you were ever like that with anyone.

Either way, they hooked you up with her. You're lucky to have friends like that if your relationship is going well.

Well, congrats on finding a girl who's giving you the chance to open up and show her what you're really made of. I wish the two of you happy times in the future. As for these two friends, V and T, chalk this up to miscommunication and drop the matter, but be careful with them in the future.

You = Your avatar. Seriously. BUt nice catch btw 🙂

You must have missed the thread where he said he got plastic surgery to look like his avatar.

Congrats on the outcome regardless what your "close friends" said, it shows you are the better friend.

Nice Pics Too!
