I guess cause I've never had a cd or dvd fail, but I have lost data on hard drives.

That's interesting, I've had CDs fail, but I haven't lost data on a hard drive since 1994 (well, there's been a time or two since then but they were my own fault).

Ok, I was not insinuating that a DVD and an IPOD were the same thing. My point was that we need a CHEAP and MASSIVE optical re-writable storage system, NOW.
