Freaking wrong items and missing items. I had to go to drivethru, because inside was already closed. They forgot to give me my drink and they gave me regular's when I paid for supreme Taco's and I got charged for drink and supreme price

OK, I can see wrong items and missing items in the bag. But how did YOU not notice your missing drink? You could've just asked for it right then and there. Also, if there were only two cars in line, why didn't you just check your food? Since this place " mess[es] up practically all my special orders and about 1/3 to 1/2 of regular orders," why wouldn't you do that before you left?

Oh wait, I get it. You went there with a plan..."I'll go to this Taco Bell and NOT check, since I know they'll mess it up!!!! That way, I can rant on Anandtech!!!!!! Ooooooooooo boy!!!!!!!!"

I don't know for sure if I got anyone fired, but I might have contributed. When I caught a McDonald employee leaving from urinal and returning to working without washing his hands, I confronted him in front of everyone. I later griped at his manager and dept of health(they probably called the manager too). I haven't ever seen that kid again at that McDonald, so he must have been fired. If he doesn't have enough respect for the store's customers and not wash his hands, doesn't he deserve to be removed from the store?

You harassed some teenager at his first job because of THAT. Maybe his mother has cancer and he was working to keep her alive one more month and you got him fired. Not everyone has a backup plan that they can fall back on. Maybe if you asked him about it in private he would have said thanks for reminding me. You had to make a scene out of it though? Why? Are you miserable and want to attack other people so you feel better about yourself? I just couldn't feel good behind doing something like that.

They didn't repeat. As I already said, I was charged for Supreme Tacos and a drink and receipt clearly says so.

For future reference, just ask them to repeat it.

I don't normally complain to unrelated employees. When you work for a company you represent the company to a certain extent and you have a share fo responsibility as well.

Not for the actions of one of your peers. I mean, they might sympathize with you, but they are powerless to do anything without permission from a manager.

If there are new applicants for the positions currently held by careless employees, give the new applicants the job. If you're careless, you get fired. If someone else is more efficient, they will displace you. I thought this is how capitalism worked?

Some employers give their employees more than one or two chances. Maybe the person was new.

If I was full of it, chances are I'd feel the same about all Taco Bells.

Last time I saw the scroll, you fell the same about everything.

You do know that they have sinks in the back right? They can't touch food without gloves in most stores, and stores have units called "Compliance Control Systems" that make sure that each employee washes their hands regularly. But yes, if you don't wash your hands after using the bathroom, and you go make food, you, and the manager deserve to get it trouble.
How do I know they didn't put themselve in that boat? There are too many people who choose to drop out of high school because of pregnancy, lack of interest and never finish with proper education Some might have too many criminal records. Last time I checked, drop out rate in ghetto schools is quite high.

This is just too stupid for me to comment on.

How old are you, anyway?

I do realize that. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. This kid just left the urinal and heads right for the door. I left right after him. He goes into the kitchen from a side door to kitchen which is on the same hallway as bathrooms. I rounded the corner and saw him handing out foods off of racks to waiting customers. There is no way he could have washed his hands in three seconds it took for me to round the corner.

You have a crappy Taco Bell. It's about the management, really. The Taco Bell I visit most frequently is pretty good. If I didn't trust them, I wouldn't eat there.

BTW, if you have a problem at a restaurant, you need to go back (or call) right away. They usually won't do a thing for you if you go back next week and start bitching. After you leave, still pissed and ranting, they'll be laughing at you (for being a ridiculous pissed-off ranting fool), going, "what did he expect, it was a week ago!"

Almost every fastfood place that I have ever been to, be it Mcdonalds, Burger King, Carl's Jr., the workers never wear gloves. The only place that I see that all the time is Subway. I just PRAY that they wash their hands when making the food.

Contact your County Board of Health. There is no reason at all that anyone handling food shouldn't wear gloves and wash and sanitize their hands.

Complain about it to the manager if you see them not doing it. If they refuse, leave. That's sick.

realize that its not completely easy to get every order perfect every time.. and late night staff is the lower qulity workforce then the daytime staff... its hard to get good night people.. including managers

That's true, but this one Taco Bell sucks day or night. The back crews doesn't freaking understand what they've been ordered to make. Hell one time they gave me a Hard Taco when I ordered a double decker. Other Taco Bells only messes up ocassionally, but this one messes up about every two or three times and almost everytime when I customize my food. I am going to call 1-800-TACOBELL and the manager on Monday and b!tch and emphasize this particluar Taco Bell location disproportionately sucks compared to other Taco Bells I've been to.

What prevents them from firing these workers who can't communicate worth a sh!t whenever next applicants are available?

but I thought you liked hard taco's ?? or is it the special sauce ? :Q

btw, I think I'll call Taco Bell corp and commend the poor, abused workers I saw being really nice and not punching a snot nosed brat in the face even though he so richly deserved it. You really are the most arrogant creature I've run across in quite some time Jerboy.

Btw, everyone in my family has worked fast food at one time or another and I can tell you that the policy in those places is to make the order right, fast, with zero hassles, mistakes are expected and a certain amount of them are factored in when corp budgets for each location, you tell the manager I ordered X and they gave me Y instead and a bag containing X is usually in your hands in under 2 minutes with minimal hassle not bad considering these places usually set a goal of under 90 seconds from the first hello till the time the order is placed in a customer's hands.

You know what used to amaze my daughter's? that somebody would go into a fatfood place, order a $2.00
sandwich then stand there and demand $10 worth of changes to the sandwich ! You want it that "special" why not go to a real restaurant ?

Argghhh !!! when will I learn not to read Jerboy posts before I've had my coffee in the morning

I didn't have a chance to be rude. I didn't realize their mistake until I got home. As to how I failed to realize I forgot my drink. You beat me to it.

You really are the most arrogant creature I've run across in quite some time Jerboy.

nah. You simply disagree with my opinions that are relevant to low-wage employees, free lunch students and such. Otherwise, we don't have too many run ins. Do we?

LOL. McDonald that is really close to my school is EXTREMELY BUSY during lunch hour. They have yet to screw up on me. Taco Bell store #(...) has always been messing up regardless of how busy they're.

That's amazing. Usual wait during lunch time is 5-8min here.

What's excessive change? Usually I don't demand to have more than one item removed.

LOL, actually, you're such a sniveler that I sometimes wonder if you're a totally fictious creature put here
solely for the amusement of the membership.Heck,I'd have a nervous breakdown if I fretted and worried about the ever growing assortment of small issues hat seem to consume your thought process on a daily basis.

So many of those freaking workers in the back don't understand worth of English(Spanish speaking Mexicans)...

Well, that's ironic isn't it.

It's obvious you're not really upset. You're far less intelligible when you are.

Jerboy, my opinion about this entire subject is that you should fight the battles that you can win. This Taco Bell issue is not one of them...

Wow...Jerboy...you've got nothing better to do than complain about how the world dis-services you huh? People have lives, and don't want to live it exactly like you do...these Mexican/Spanish people are just trying to make a buck, would you not know anything about this 'cause your parents are rich? I work at a fast food place, one of the guys there, he's mexican, he's probably messed up a few times, put something wrong on an item or two.....shouldn't be fired...This place is his 3rd part time job, he has three children and a wife to support....As stated before, if you can do better, you go work there. Or just stop going there if it's too much trouble for you, that's the most obvious thing to do. Sheesh, some people disgust me.

I looked at the title of this post and before I even looked over at the Author, I knew it was Jerboy bitching.

Your stupid posts on this forum are the biggest waste of space on the internet. Thank you Captain Obvious for telling us Taco Bell drive thru sucks!! If you don't want to get jacked, check your damn order you douche bag. God, I would love to see your family go broke and then try to see you fend for yourself on minimun wage. You wouldn't last a day, you free-lunch hatin bastard.

What kind of special orders are you asking for? Are you trying to buy a regular burrito and have them add extra stuff to make it a supreme? ;) I don't fully understand your rant about the paying minimum wages... but don't be racist and prejudice man. It doesn't sound like you've talked to these people before...
