found that all of a sudden office update for MSO 2003 stopped working - i kept getting error saying it couldnt proceed.
Directed towards the Office Help Forum and i see loads of people have the same problem but for a magnitude of reasons [and many unknowns].
Mutiple fixes proposed which all basically seem to boil down to: remove any evince you ever had MSO 03 on your system with this windows-installer-remover utility and then reinstall. Great.
Anyway some of the known reasons for it being busted [mostly pointing to the Office Install logger being busted] include installed Office SP1 [was fine for me], installing XP2!!!! [not an issue with me so far] and using system restore!!!!! [this last little gem was reported by a M$ MVP and tucked away in the middle of a long post about reasons for bustedness in the middle of lots of people asking for help on said bustedness.
