Rant: Stupid reviews on Newegg

So? Who cares about Newegg Reviews? Read on TRUE technical forums where people know products inside and out. Seriously, remember the Samsung 226BW? TN panels. YAY. They hurt my eyes, terrible viewing angles, washed out colors, keep naming, but people LOVE THAT STUFF. It gets like 500 positive 5 egg reviews. Yay. People downrate a lot of crap like the WD Black 1TB drive simply because its expensive. Half the people who buy at Newegg are the dumbasses who go to Best Buy and buy $36 usb to usb cables, so what do you expect?

It's the crowd. I mean what am I supposed to say when I read up AT GH and half the questinos on the first page are about "IS MY PSU ENOUGH?"

3/10

Pros:
Arcadio made a post without doing that letter h shiz.
The plane took off.

Cons:

OP makes a weak rant about something he knows nothing about.
Thread does not come with free pix of hot chix in skirts or beer.

I find it annoying when people complain about a product's extra features as not working very well, and they rate it down. I've seen people rate down monitors because "the speakers suck."

Also when people complain that a part "just broke off." It didn't "just break off" if it got through the shipping process fine.

Edit: But OP, when people say, "it didn't come with something free," that means they don't have anything bad to say about it...

One of the dumbest things I've ever read at ATOT, and that's saying something.

one of my favorite reviews on there is a dude's con saying that when you format a new HD you lose 93% of the capacity. I'm sure he meant 7% but the typo cracked me up. Imagine buying a 500 gig drive and only getting about 35 gigs usable space after you formatted.

Newegg reviews have always been somewhat untrustworthy and generally require careful interpretation to glean any useful info from.

Pros: I get off work in 15 min and don't need to read bad ATOT threads soon. This thread also gives me an excuse to waste an extra 5 minutes.

Cons: The con parody has been done at least 2 times already and my post brings nothing new. Also no pics in thread.

Other thoughts: Why did I read that quadratic equation thread 15 min before I get off work? Curses!

I always use the cons for something silly.

NOTHING is more annoying than: "BAWWWW MY 640GB DRIVE IS ONLY 596GB"

<Seth Meyers> Really? Really Newegg reviewer? You have "high technical understanding" and you still don't fucking get the differences between base 10/2? </Seth Meyers>
