So what? You obviously aren't used to responsibility with the type of opinions you're having. Why must someone be rendered helpless when everything isn't in place?Originally posted by: Saulbadguy

It's not your dad's responsibility to make sure the gas is filled and that there is a tank of gas in the garage if it isn't. Stop depending on your parents for everything!
Dads house, dads garage, dads snowblower, dads driveway. hmm...
So let me use your argument in a different scenario. Let's say his dad bought him something and it broke. Should he try to fix it on his own or does he need to hold his dad's hand while his dad fixes it because it's his dad's money that bought it, it happened under his dad's roof, and because it happened his dad's at fault?
yet another "respect your parents thread"..I wouldn't say his dad is "stupid", but just inconsiderate, or forgetful. Had the same thing happened to me, I would be a little upset, and give my dad a good yelling at when he got home, but he would just laugh at me. Thats what makes it funny. Then of course we'd forget about it the next day.
ok, so where do people like you draw the line?? it's OK that he asked you to do PART of the chore (The actual snowblowing part) but the implied part (getting gas) is NOT ok??
the OP was asked to do a chore. the fact that he rants about having to do a part of it that he didn't expect is hilarious and shows a lot of immaturity and disrespect.
