Rant: Student misses Final.

Had a final this morning and one person didnt show up for the final.

This is the same person that was always late to class and they live on campus. By late i mean an half hour to an hour late.

Some students just don't care at all.

Edit:
Besides the final, i don't think he turned in any of the assigments due.
 
Heh, my roomate turned off my alarm clock on the day of a final. Yup, failed that class. Teacher was a jerk by not letting me retake it. My roomate admitted it, and I had like an 89 in the class.

how is that money wasted....his tuition is used to go towards the univeristy, thus goes to a prof who teaches the students who WANT to learn. If this guy decides to pay for nothing well all the better for those in the class.

How is the teacher a jerk? Its your job to get to class, not a teachers.

Uh, well when theres other factors that made me late, its not that big of a deal for me to sit in his study room and take a test. I made it to the end of the class and explained things. And its not like that was my regular behavior for that particular class.

I've had other teachers work with me more when I was truly at fault. Why try to fail people? What that prove? Especially for a mid level math class.

Edit - I should say, I'm calling him a jerk because he acted like one. His speaking skills were quite lacking, and he came off sounding like a prick.

Honestly, this person, which i hope doesnt read ATOT, looked like a stoner... now i'm just making an assumption.

But looking at his semester interaction in class, it didnt seem like her cared at all, about punctuality and participation.

Most professors are reasonble people. Freshman year a friend of mine had the flu and was just finishing up some last minute studying before getting some sleep, so he took some nyquil and went to bed. His alarm went off for ~1hr before it woke him up, so he ran to the exam in his Pajamas freaking out. He couldn't get into the exam because the doors were locked, so he waited and explained his situation to the prof who could tell that he was still sick, so he gave him an extension.

Hahah, me too, although I had a room mate one time that was absolutely terrible about getting up. He'd set his alarm for 7am and it would go off for 30 or so minutes before I got so fed up I literally hit him with a bat until he woke up and turned the thing off.
 
who cares? .. when he hands you your change at the drive thru window in a few years, you can remind him of the choices he made in school.

Saturday morning final? wtf.. I'd be pissed if my instructor scheduled a final on a weekend. Course, i graduated close to 10 yrs ago and maybe things are done differently now..

Still, i'd be at work at this time..
