The singer in the commercial is definitely singing "P A C K" not 'P A C T'' which it should be!
It bugs my wife every time the commercial comes on.
And we heard it a few times today during a football game! Its in the first couple seconds of the commercial, and theres other things we may want to hear, like when the games back on, or what games are coming on later. And some commercials are actually somewhat funny, especially in the first few weeks of football! And I really dont know anyone who mutes the TV when commercials come on anyway.
Though we dont blame a 12 yo kid for the way he sang the words to a song!
Here is Michael Jackson singing it in 1970..

Not sure if the singer in the commercial is MJ, but it sounds like it is.
State Farm shouldnt have used the first 5 seconds of that song the way its sung, or if they had someone sing it just for the commercial they should have sung it correctly.
They probably spent millions on that commercial, and no one would have objected if "pact" was sung correctly, or "pack" had been edited out.
I know people who wont eat in restaurants, or shop in stores when things are misspelled on menus, or signs.
Im sure this commercial isnt encouraging them to "Make a pacK!" with State Farm!
