RANT: Skype chat sounds

I have skype for mac and basically idle in a group chat 24/7. Skype has this little "water drop" sort of sound that plays whenever a new chat message is received. There is no option to turn it off.

So when I'm watching a tv show on the computer, I have to put up with all these little water drop sounds all over the place.

🙁

Someone please, show me I'm an idiot and point out the option to turn the notification sounds off.

(I'm using Beta 2.8.0.324)

Load Skype, On the Menu Bar - Go to Skype/Preferences
Select Notifications, Event: 'Message Received' - Deselect the Play Sound check box.
Do the same for Event: 'First Message Received'

How I missed that I'll never know... 😛

I don't really give a crap though as I am now free of those infernal water drops.
