Of all the things to block why Gmail? I can understand the decision to block Ebay traffic , gambling sites and even gaming sites. But to block a friggin internet email service is just stupid. I can't wait to leave this company, I'm fvcking tired of the 3-4 hour commute anyway. Anyone out there looking for an entry level computer forensics analyst?

Maybe so you spend time doing your job which you're paid to do instead of reading personal emails?

We have all internet emails blocked as well. But I do have company email I can use all day long at work. Why not try using your company email while at work?

Why block email sites? If you want a secure netowrk you need to block that stuff.

My company blocks external email as well. they said its to keep sensitive info within the company. they scan all outgoing emails to make sure nothing sensitive is being passed on. makes sense to me.

I usually try to keep my personal emails seperate from my work account. To be honest I just check my Gmail for job leads/feedback, I put out a few resumes and I'm just waiting to hear back from potential employers.

Then you probably shouldn't be doing that from your current job :D

Not sure why the mods deleted it, but I did try it. Unfortunately it did'nt work, it was still blocked.
