Rant: my college diploma looks like crap...

Now, i'm happy that i graduated from college, but i just picked up my diploma today. I was so excited and called the office weekly until finally it was finished today.i was extremely disappointed. it looked like it was printed with a laser printer on one half of a manilla folder, then sealed with the school seal. I thought after paying all of that money for school, studying what felt like endless nights, etc, i would get something that look a least bit fancy. my high school diploma looks a whole lot better...and it's 1/4 the size...haha.

How do all of yours (the ones that have graduated college) look?

nope, and ours wasn't even really signed by anyone...just stamped. It took almost 3 months for it to get finished too. I was kinda feeling that i could do a better job myself.

I think mine is gold embossed lettering with random precious gems dotting the i's. The school recommends we insure it for a minimum of $50000 and they explained that this is where all of our tuition money went. I think everyone was rather surprised and pleased when we received our diplomas. When I took it to job interviews, they typically skipped the formalities and went straight to negotiating salary. I am currently CEO of a Fortune 500 company and my diploma sits in a preservation frame on the wall of my office.

Get over it. It isn't that big of a deal.

It doesn't matter. I can't even remember what my college diploma looks like. Your just going to stick in a closet for next 40 years anyway.

lol now THAT was funny 🙂

Still in HS, but damn did my middle school diploma look sexy. Kind clunky though. It was a leather bound book about half the size of a sheet of paper, half inch thick. it had the whole declaration of ind. in it.
