Rant: MS Word "forms"

came here to say this, however, lots of people dont know how to do that, or do not leverage sharepoint well

i work for an IT consulting company...we have some very smart people, but the office is run by non technical morans, so internally sharepoint is barely used.

want to know what my schedule is in? an excel spreadsheet.

We probably have thousands of forms, many of which are just Excel spreadsheets that people mail out and then manually compile the results later. We tried to sell one department on some InfoPath forms and automation late last year and they didn't really want to go that route, but we're going over that person's head with a presentation to the EVP sometime in April. No sense in wasting all that time and effort when InfoPath and Sharepoint can handle most of the work for you.
