Rant!: Messenger Service Popups!!

Alright, I'm beginning to hate my windows XP, it seems I get these dang popups through the messenger service about every 15 minutes or so. I think I finally have it disabled now, so my life should be getting back to normal... ARG@!!!!

Disable the "messenger" in your services. I used to get those like every 30 minutes, on the dot.

I swear to god, if I ever track down any spam servers in the DFW area, I'm going to go and gut them :|

haha, i just directed all traffic on that port to a non-existant internal ip

where's the link with info how to disable that again? i think it was a registry entry or something...

I think you just go into control panel -> administrative tools -> services -> messenger and then disable it from there. I'm hoping this will work anyway.
