some of you might now, a few days ago, my PSU died and shocked my motherboard along with it. im left with a dead PSU and K7S5A. well, i just called Neocomputers (place i bought my system from) since my parts were all still under warranty. to keep it short, the guy said "those type of issues are not covered by warranty". he blamed my house power and said there was probably a power spike or brown out. he could be right, but i was using a surge protector and nothing in my house at all reacted differently when my computer died.
i had my other HP system running on the same surge protector, the monitors on, my speakers playing music. everything in my house, the TV and lights had no reaction to the "brown out". the weather was fine as well.
im kind of sad, i had a bond with that motherboard, i might take her up to fremont this weekend to see if ECS will replace it, since Neocomputers wont.
thanks for reading, my rant of the day.
