lol i never had a problem with litestep , used it about 2 years ago.
All i remember doing was just exiting litestep and just open explorer.exe to get my windows shell.

after that just delete everything litestep. I don't know, i thought the newer versions of litestep are more n00b friendly.

when i open explorer.exe, it opens an actual explorer menu. where i can choose to go to desktop, my computer, etc...

do NOT reformat. shell=explorer.exe is the problem. Make sure for a fact that you did that much right. Trust me you do NOT need to reformat.

RTFM. The Readme should say(used to) how to Uninstall. In Win98, it was as simple of changing the "shell=" setting in Win.ini from "Litestep.exe" to "Explorer.exe". It's probably different for Win2k/XP though.

ctrl-alt-delete to open the menu thingy, then go to task manager -> new task

open explorer.exe, and it should open regular windows, where you can uninstall everything from there.

at least, i think thats how i did it when i had litestep.
