Why is it that no one seems to know how to drive at a 4-way stop? I drive through the same one every morning. Also, every morning I see the peopel that treat it like a 2-way stop or just go whenever they want.

How hard is it to pay attention to traffic rules????

Apparently very hard. I have seen more and more people blowing off stop signs in my neighbrobood, just slowing to 10mph.

Because only 5% of this nation can drive. My personal favorite is when you signal that you're going to parallel park, move in front of the spot like you're supposed to do, and then when you look back a car is RIGHT behind you honking his horn and flippin you off.

Try going through traffic circles where the right of way is much less black and white.

But is it okay to drive around the person parking? I am conflicted every time someone stops in front of me to park.

You mean a Round About? If someone is coming, you yield. How hard is that?

No

A traffic circle is an intersection with a circular shape and, usually, a central island. In some traffic circles two-way traffic is allowed within the circle. It is much more common, however, that traffic is allowed to go in one direction only around a central island. In some traffic circles, entering roads are controlled by stop signs or traffic signals. In other cases, traffic enters the circulatory roadway by merging, sometimes at relatively high speeds. Traditionally, traffic entering a circle has the right-of-way, although some circles give right-of-way to the primary roads. In roundabouts, as distinct from traffic circles, entering traffic must yield to traffic already in the circulatory roadway.

A human brain is unable to resolve a 4-way stop deadlock situation and will shut itself off if 3 or more drivers come to a stop in such a location. Don't let this happen to you! Always step out of your car when at a 4-way stop; place a yellow flag and 3 orange cones in the middle of the road, and set them on fire to indicate you are about to drive through. Return to your vehicle and slowly driver around the fire.

Stopping behind them far enough that they can back up into the space is what I'm saying.

That's definitely annoying, although I'll say what's much worse is what seems to take place every time the power goes out here in Georgia. People apparently fail to realize that in those instances, you treat a stop light exactly as you would a stop sign. Instead, you'll just see people stopping for no reason, and then rushing through 20 cars at a time in one direction.

power outages are the worst, people dont think in those situations, just randomly going, there is NEVER any pattern, and then knuckleheads miss their turn and then try and go the next time around.....gah

Ugh, why must it be so hard to understand?

Whats even worse is the people who stop at an intersection that DOESNT have a stop sign. When people treat a 2-way stop like a 4-way stop.

I would rather have people go out of turn than not go when it is their turn.

I agree, people love to tailgate. The only thing I can say that pisses me off about somebody parallel parking in front of me is when it takes them 2, 3, sometimes 4 tries to get it right and I'm stuck there for several minutes. Otherwise, parallel parking kicks ass.
