Man, all that crap is academic - you were in MD, not PA (I would bet that you can be ticketed/fined for <6mph over, but whatever).

My very first speeding ticket was in MD (at Bethesda Naval Hospital) for 4mph over. Don't bitch.

And what I really don't get is all of your ranting about the revenue-collecting scam that traffic enforcement is, when the trooper let you off with a WARNING!
Well, in a nutshell, it just seems like I was singled out last night b/c I was out of state. First thing he asked me when I gave him my license was "Do you still live at *my address* in NJ"? Why do cops ask a question like that? To obviously try and bait the person they pull over into saying that no, they actually live in the trooper's state (MD). Then the trooper has many other options like ticketing the person for not having the right address on their license.

Add to the fact that there were other drivers going faster than me in the left lane... People regularly do 80mph on that road and I've yet to see one of them get pulled over, let alone at 1:30am doing 10 over in the right lane.

All in all, I wouldn't have cared if he had given my license back. I now think it was intentional so it just burns me that someone would do that just to inconvenience the people that they are supposed to "protect and serve". I never said anything rude or snide to warrant such treatment.

EDIT: Ironically, I have to fill out some paperwork from HR today and of course it asks me for my driver's license #. Talk about bad luck :(

Cops ask everyone if they still live at the address listed on the license... and there's nothing wrong with it. Youre supposed to have your current address on your current license.

All he's doing is trying to ascertain that you're following the law. BECAUSE THATS WHAT COPS ARE PAID TO DO. Honestly, take your fvcking head out of your ass.

Right buddy... and people can never have TWO Home addresses AT THE SAME TIME. Fvcking moron, there's a reason why you can earn income and pay taxes in more than 1 state. Oh I forgot, you only have one home address so you wouldn't know that! This is my last post dealing with infantile drivel such as yours, you're not worth the time printed on your paystub.

You are to list your PERMANENT address on your license. You must pick the one where you spend the most of your time.

This is such a troll post.

Infantile drivel? Not worth the time? Sounds a hell of a lot like the crap that's coming outta your mouth SP33D. You don't need to attack every single person in your thread.

I don't even care if this guy is serious anymore... I'm outta this worthless thread.

I say this with all sincerity:

If you honestly think the cop asked if that was your current address in order to bait you into something, then coupled with the other posts you've made in this thread I can only conclude that you are delusional and/or paranoid. Please seek help.

Hmm, never heard of being profiled for having out of state tags.

I got a ticket for doing ~75 in a 65. And yes, It held up in court right fine. Guess what else? It was 1:23AM when he wrote the ticket AND the roads where empty. Wouldnt hold up in court? My ass.

He got me because I passed him, which is why he didnt know how fast I was going (he was a sneaky cop with no light bar and no antenna on top). Anyways, the violation was for going faster then speeds of 65mph and he gave an approx of 75. Which is how fast I was going.

I got pulled over in NC (I live in PA) on my way to Outer Banks for vacation. I had just come off I95 and was making GREAT time. We picked up 41 and ran through a few hick towns (Clinton County). All of a sudden, this cop car comes FLYING down the other side of the road with lights flashing. I look at the girl I was was and say "ohhh man, he got somebody".
He comes flying across the median and tags ... ME !!!
Got me doing 72 in a 55 (right off 95, I was still speedhyped). I had cash so I said, tell ya what ... I'll pay my ticket here and off I go. He says its a new state law that anyone caught 15 miles over the speed limit goes in to see the justice o' the peace. He had us FOLLOW HIM back to redneckville and I had to appear before a JUDGE !!!
I then had to appear in 2 months for a trial, which they then gave me a phonebook full of lawyer numbers to choose from for represenatation in absentia. I paid $78 for the ticket and $200 to have a lawyer show up later for me.
--- wait, it gets better---
We were now 2 hours behind our schedule to meet my parents at the beach house, with no way to contact them to tell them what had happened.
--- ohhh nooo, it REALLY gets bad now ---
Coming up on a convenience store along the road, we saw a few cars on either side of the road. One pulled out RIGHT AS WE WENT BY !!! ***BOOOOOMMM***
We hit them broadside, they never even LOOKED our way. It was not a high speed impact but my knee left an imprint on the dash and a HELLUVA knot swelled up. Otherwise (seatbelts on) we were fine. The girl with me wanted to punch out the lady driver and I thought that a bad idea, what with our earlier incident with 'Mr. Mirrored Sunglasses'.
The car was totalled and we had no car to get TO the shore, no car to get HOME ... and the girl and I did nothing but recuperate and argue about the entire mess.
We finally got ahold of my parents and told them the gory details ...

Worst ....
Vacation....
EVA !!!

and i never did get any play with that girl ... she hates me to this day because I didn't comfort her during the whole mess.

57 in a 45 with a clean record on an empty road got me a ticket.
My first ticket was for going 64 in a 55 zone. I was even in military uniform and the friggin' Virginia State Police office still gave me a ticket.

All because some cop thinks he's funny by stealing my license.

rolleye.gif
You are an idiot

I now have to lie about the license because some cop with nothing better to do felt he would harrass me... then realizes that I have a clean record

And you clearly are not mature enough to receive a clearance.

As for Millennium:

You've got SERIOUS issues. Please please please get some help bud. You're fvcking crazy

The irony.

I hate to think I was profiled, but he probably pulled me over because I have out of state plates because most people were doing 80 on that road (97). Anyways, he realizes that I'm normal and walks up and says: "Here's a warning for doing 75 in a 65", hands me my papers, and walks away before I can even say anything. Then I look closely and discover that he didn't give my license back. I'm thinking wtf?! So I double check all the papers and no license: only registration, insurance, the warning, and some pamphlet about Maryland State Police's mission statement.

I was about to get out or motion out the window to him afterwards, but I didn't want to do anything that might jeopardize my life. So wtf, am I just supposed to call up MD State Police and file a complaint? This is hardly good timing in that I have an interview to get a Top Secret clearance with the gov't tomorrow, and I'm SURE they'll ask me for my license (btw it will be impossible to get a new NJ license in one day from MD). Anyone else had this happen to them?

F***ing cops, even if it was an honest mistake, it's still bs that he pulled me over for doing a 75 in a 65 (like that would ever hold up in court :roll;) </Rant>
57 in a 45 with a clean record on an empty road got me a ticket.

Cops nowadays are 95% Aholes, congratz on getting a warning ticket. Contact the Maryland Highway Patrol and find out where he is stationed. Contact the station and have them instruct him to leave it there. Drive by station and pick it up.

"Cops nowadays are 95% Aholes"

Yeah, they aren't complete. They don't seal properly. Poop keeps falling out.

It's funny that I see ATOT community bash anyone complaining about a speed ticket (even a 9 mph over the limit one), yet they probably speed all the time. Don't tell me you all never ever went 1 mph over the limit in your lifes. If you did, then you speeded too. Me? I speed all the time if you wanna call it speeding. I just go with the traffic... If everyone is going with 80 on a 65, I'll go with 80 too. I bet all you sissies go with 65 on the right lane when everyone is doing 80, right?
