Rant: I hate my bank

<RANT>So I recently got a new job and moved from NY to georgia. Of course I needed to open up a new bank account. While I was opening up the bank account the bank guy kept trying to get me to sign up for a bank of america credit card. While I have enough large enough credit limit on my other card availible I thought that opening up another credit card would help me build more credit for when I get a mortgage. Plus the credit card offered 1% cash back.

Anyway today I get in the mail a letter saying sorry they couldn't approve me for the cash back card but were genoruosly offering me a $500 secured credit line(I have to send them $100 first). Are you kidding me? I have over $11,000 worth of credit availible on my other cards (2 credit/one store card). I owe less than $4500 total to anyone. I make a little over 50k a year. I always pay on time and usually never even keep balances. I've checked my credit FICO score and its 750 (scale of 375-900).

Whats the hell do these people want? 500 secured is damn insulting, I was able to get 500 and 1000 unsecured when I was a student and I've been nothing but pefrect with my credit since I've had it. Damn you bank of america. </RANT>

I use Bank of America and am neither pleased nor displeased. But I always make them fill out the deposit and withdrawal slips because thats what they're paid to do. And I hate how they are so nice to you.. there is a limit until it just seems fake.

Sux to be you. Get another bank if you don't like BofA.

I don't even make 15K a year and BoA gave me a 11K limit. J/k.. I bet your high limits are what screwed you.

that is pretty insulting. I got a pre-approved letter that wants $45 annual fee with no reward. it went to trash with no question asked. I have about 4 cc and getting more. discover just sent me a pre approved letter. here i come!

Haven't they bought all their competitors banks yet?
