RANT: I hate computers

AFB

So I wake up today about 7am as I was off today. I have a lovely breakfast then I go over to my computer to read Slashdot. I push the power button and head on over to the bath room, but when I get back I notice nothing is happening. The stupid thing refused to POST. So I try desperatly to get it to work, but my efforts were in vain. I tired to download new BIOS files, but all THE FYCKING FILES ARE CORRUPTED. So I break down and get a new motherboard as I needed a computer for school (ABIT NF7-S2) - cheapest one Fry's had in stock that wasn't "refurbished". Never buy refurbished at Fry's. Ever. So I get it home and eventually get windows to boot after running repair mode to get it to install new drivers and I qucikly get all my files off as I hadn't made a backup recently :Q. Then I go through hell getting Windows to install on a formatted HDD as it can't find files. Well no sh!t, it's formated. Finally about 8PM I get a working computer, but it takes forever to boot up(See thread in OS).

/bangs head @ wall. I guess it could be worse. *shrugs*

My favorite one that i've had recently is I turned my secondary rig off (it had been running for a week or two) to remove and install a new cd-rw... So when I goto turn the rig back on, nothing happens... Keep in mind i've touched NOTHING else... STUMPED for more than an hour, my sister gets home and I tell her the computer isn't working and I've yet to figure out what it is... she says are you sure? Sits down, and pushes a button on the keyboard and it turns right on. I had forgotten I had set the computer to turn on via keyboard :/

I enjoy growing fruit trees. In the summer they give me delicious fresh fruit and the rest of the year they just sit there doing nothing.

I only have one computer, so it's sucks a big one when it's down because I can't get online to DL drivers or order parts or anything. The last time I just went to Staples and bought a new computer, and canibalized all the good parts off the old one. I'm convinced that doing that actually saved years of my life, plus I got an insane deal on the machine, so it all worked out.
