So I sign up for a room yesterday b/c a space in the apartment I wanted wasn't open yet. Once again, I get the smallest room in the suite, and its also 4 floors higher than the one i have now. Today, I get a notice that there is indeed a space open, but when I try to cancel my housing assignment it won't let me. furthermore, if I want to cancel my housing assignment I will be charged a $150 "termination fee." Now granted this would be understandable if I cancelled my assignment like in the summer, but for being 1 day late??? Its not my fault that the apartment opened up the day after I signed up for a room. If I didn't sign up and had held out for the apartment and it didn't open up, I would have no place to live next year.
And get this, when the room selection processed opened up, most of the rooms were gone within a HALF HOUR. Too bad I was IN CLASS during then. I had two choices when I got to my room- 8th floor, or 12TH FLOOR. wtf :|
Sorry about all the whining and complaining- it hasn't been a very good week...
now back to my "fixing" my non-functioning java project
