Damn apt. living.

GRRRRRRRR

2:45am I get woken up by some fvckwad laying on his horn repeatedly to get someone to come outside.

Ok, people...it's fvcking 2:45 in the MORNING! People just MIGHT be sleeping! Get your lazy fvcking arse out of your fvcking car and go knock on the fvcking door!!

So, about a half-hour later I finally doze back off.

Then, 6am (almost like clockwork), this dumbass right across from my building gets in his Chevy Blazer, starts it, and floors the accelerator. Keeps the engine gunned for at least a minute. So I'm awake again. He does this most every morning and it's been rather chilly in the mornings. I hope every day he throws a fvcking rod or two right thru his fvcking hood!

I doze off about another 15-20min. after that and then, at 6:45, some fvckwad in a Ford pickup with loud exhaust pulls up in front of that same building and *he* starts in on his horn...two or three long, loud blasts! GET OUT OF YOUR FVCKING TRUCK AND KNOCK ON YOUR A**HOLE FRIEND'S DOOR!!! :| :| :|

Damn, I wish I had a couple of shotguns and a bandolier!!

Dumb asses.... flooring the gas does not make your car warm up any damn faster. Even if it does your still tearing the crap out of the engine.

I also get the honking noise once in awhile. Specially on week ends when everybody is drunk. Very inconsiderate people.

Welcome to my world. I sleep during the day. People have absolutely no intentions of being quiet during the day. I live across the street from a gas station, too.

I totally know what you mean. My apartment is by the front gate of our apartment building and people's visitors will just wait at the gate until someone who has a remote comes and opens the gate. But they feel they need to turn up their crappy ass radios as loud as possible while they're waiting. Or talk and yell with their buddies at the top of their lungs.

Some people have no consideration for others.

Car horns where made to get someone's immediate attention on the road, not a substitution for a door bell.

I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to rotten-egg the next dumb ass who honks the horn instead of ringing the doorbell. I'm three floors up, so I could make quite a splat!

They never even just do a quick little beep. It's always honk-honk-honk-honk-honnnnnnnnnk! And then, 15 seconds later, they do it again!

Just called the office and the woman said she'd get a manager to at least send out a note to everyone to try and get this stopped.

Hope they print it in Spanish, too.

I get the car alarms night and day -- stupid students park right in front of my house starting at around 4 am, put alarms on their ugly old beaters... and then as more hordes of them descend on the neighborhood their traffic activates the loud, shrieking sound. Having an alarm like that makes it more likely that someone will traumatize your bleating car.

Don't those people know flooring the gas pedal in -30*c will do a lot of damage to their engines? I mean, that's common sense. You're forcing something rather than having it occur naturally. Guess common sense isn't as common as we think eh?

We have neighbors across the street who lay on/honk at 5:30 or 6am EVERY morning and then again and again throughout the day. They don't speak English so we can't go talk to them about it either.

Simple.

Take some wire cutters with you, walk up to them, motion them to step out of the car, pop open the hood, snip wires to the horn!

Growing up i had a neighbor who was always carpooled by some asshat that always honked to get him out at 6am in the morning. And it wasn't just a quick honk, but those 5 second ones.

I hate it when idiots honk at you exactly when the light turns green and they go barrelling down the street only to come to a screeching halt at the next stop light 100 feet away.

Typical NYC driving.

When I lived at my parents house recently (very upscale)...

these idiots (guests) would first come flying around the neighborhood in their POS and start with the horn about 2 houses away....and then sit in the driveways for about 10 mins with the honk honk honk....wait honk honk honk....these houses are like 'airtight' you can't hear anything from the outside. I'd have to walk down sometimes and tell them (rudely) this ain't the ghetto, you can't hear the outside on the inside.
