ah, this has to be one of my favorite topics of all time. I could go on forever about the inconsideration of people these days.

Take today for example:

4 people side by side across the entire sidewalk on my way to the Metro after work, me approaching them walking in the other direction. Think they move? NOPE! I get to step out onto the street so I can get around them on a street that is fairly traffic heavy. Thanks for sharing the sidewalk!

Went out to my car to go run an errand, car is in my apartment complex parking lot. There is a guy conveniently in his car in front of my car space talking it up with a guy standing next to his car. No big deal I thought. When they see me get in the car, he'll move for me. I get in the car, start it up, put it in reverse so the back up lights come on. Does the guy back up? NOPE! I start to inch out of my parking spot. The guy still doesn't move! Finally I had to resort to beeping my horn and the guy looks at me and gives me a dirty look. I almost lost it right there since today was not a good day. But I just backed up and drove away.

So I go to run my errand (had to buy a ski hat at the mall) and once again, 5 people taking a Sunday stroll side by side clogging up the whole walkway in the mall. So I came up right behind them, I caught one of the chics looking back at me (they were all teenagers) and continues to talk with her friend.
Well, any other day I would've said excuse me but I found a small hole between two of them and plowed through. Almost knocked one of them over but I didn't really care at that point. One of them said something to me but I didn't hear it and I just kept walking.

OK, I'll stop now. Can't wait to see what kind of crap I get to put up with tomorrow. The lack of consideration and obliviousness of people these days amazes me.

Examples - stairwells, right in front of the elevator, directly in front of the soda machine, at a ballpark or stadium blocking an exit, etc. etc. !!!!!! I can't believe how dense people are. I was at a sandwich shop trying to fill my drink just now, and I said "excuse me" probably 3 or 4 times before I finally had to just push these 2 knuckleheads out of the way. Even after I did that they acted like I wasn't even there; still talking. That's not even a bad one though. The worst are at the sporting events when some retard sees somebody from high school and they decide to catch up for the last 20 years right in from of a main exit?

People are so like sheep it's not even funny.

if your impatient punk ass were to push me out of your way, i would knock you the funk out.
because remember this, whatever i am doing is way more important than anything you could possibly be doing, even if i'm doing nothing.

bahahaha

Good one. At least you know the difference between then and than; even if it was an accident.

That's why you make it blatently clear that you will not be moving out of their way. :) Just continue walking straight and if they don't realize what you're doing and move out of the way, push your way inbetween the two of them closest to the outside.

*disclaimer* Don't do the above to a group of thugs.

i was at a light and it was red so i was naturally stopped. it turned green and i immediately started to pull out, apparently it wasn't fast enough for the moron behind me because he laid into the horn, so i slowed down.
I know this is off thread, but I do the same thing. There's nothing I enjoy more than someone riding my bumper, getting all panicky because he wants to drive 2mph faster than me.

why don't you just obey the law and move out of the way? not only is it the law but it's common courtesy. you're the car version of what everyone here is complaining about. rude and inconsiderate, and you think it's funny.

If you were an old lady doing 35mph in a 55mph zone, then they'd have a "right" to be pissed. However, if you're going the speed limit, they have no "right" to get all upset. On a highway, they could just pass you if they wanted to risk getting a speeding ticket.

As far as the stop light issue is concerned, if you start immediately after the light changes, and accelerate at a reasonable speed, then there should be no reason for complaint. I'd still like to hear how you suggest in a situation like that that someone could just "move out of the way"?

<-- has a feeling that thomsbrain is one of those angry drivers that we reasonable people have to watch out for.

Am I the only one who thinks that world would be a better place if 95% of the people would just vanish?

Oh I hated that at work. It was usually guys we'd call the "thick necks". Egotistical schmucks who loved bragging about their accomplishments and how much they'd lifted at the gym or drank last night or some stupid high school-type antic.
