I got opera the day it was free. Damn this browser is awesome. The only thing Firefox has on it is the Adblock extension.
How can I get it?Originally posted by: Rudee

STFU. No one likes Opera here. Opera doesn't have any of Firefox's extentions so your point is moot.
actually a ton of people here use Opera and prefer it over the other browsers, myself included, is does everything FF does, and does it better
and if any of you dipsh!ts paied attention you coudl have gotten a free opera serial from opera last week, takes care of the add
also if you know how to use google you can get rid of the ad in about 3 seconds
One of my colleagues found that five out of seven of her extensions, including several that were indispensable to her daily work, no longer functioned.
This is by design. Firefox's Extension System for 1.0x and below was broken. For example, the installation, upgrade and uninstall subsystems were not very robust at all.
When installing a new version of an extension, files from older versions would be left behind, and this could lead to incompatibilities and mysterious crashes.
The fix was to completely revamp the Extension System. Unfortunately for users who want to use the beta as their main browser today, that means they'll have to do without their favorite extensions.

does *BETA* means anything to you?
So what if it is beta - why can't they keep the 'same' extension engine?

Let me say I love firefox.
I'm about to get pissed at the whole thing though.
Why is it every dang upgrade breaks every dang extension (or most of them?)
I just upgraded to 1.5 release 1 - and most of my most beloved extensions are now not working.
Adblock still works thank god, and so does flashblock - but stumbleupon, pdfview, mediaplayerconnectivity, etc all do not work!
WHY! Can't they stick with a dog gone system for more than one release?
i never upgrade unless i'm sure all the extensions I have will work on it.

But now you are telling people to search google for a way. This to me says you are telling them to pirate it.
