RANT: don't you hate it when your neighbors are playing music with bass @12am?

WTF is up with these people? No consideration that on a Monday night that people have to go to school/work? I mean come on now, you don't see me blasting music so that they can hear back too. The only time I would do that is if it were the day time. (between the hours of 11am-10:30pm) is fine. Of course I don't blast it like these bastards. DIE!

I think tech support is closed, unless the call center is in India

I hate these fvcktards any time of the day. We have noise ordinances in our city, and I'll call the cops at the drop of a hat. Call the cops and fill out a report. Keep on doing that till it's taken care of. That's what you pay taxes for.

Seasons of the Abyss. Play and repeat on full volume for one hour straight.

I would say to speak with them tomorrow about it and if it happens again, call the police and file a complaint. Most cities/towns have a noise ordinance, so maybe its best to inquire about it. I had the same issue with my neighboor. I spoke to them politely about it and it hasn't happened again. Good Luck!

That sucks man. The guy that lives above my fiance pulls this same stunt ALL THE TIME! She has gone up there, about 100 times, to tell him to turn it off. It didn't get through his thick skull though, he'd just do it again the next night. She finally had to have the landlord make this guy sign a written agreement stating that he wouldn't play music, AT ALL, after 10:00pm. He still does it. When I marry her in 4 weeks (YAY!!), I won't be as leanient as her. This guy used to play for the Vikings though...so I won't be flexin any muscles at him. :)

I'm surprised, in my college apartment NO ONE plays loud music around me; everyone is just quiet.

Talking to them might just make it worse..... Id file a report and talk to other neighbors who are probably annoyed as well....

I don't think I could EVER go back to apartment life again. It was fun in college, but once I got married and we had to do that first year in an apartment with 'real world' hours at stake I was ready to go postal on our neighbors a few times. The only thing I hear from my neighbors now is the lawn mower on Saturday mornings (and even then I can barely hear that due to the trees.) Ahhh!

Just hang in there.

It's surprisingly quiet at my apartment, too. After two years in the dorm and one year in an on-campus apartment, it's nice to be able to sit and concentrate on work at 4pm or whatever and not have to have my music cranked so I don't hear their bass through the floor or walls. They had a party downstairs one night (that lasted until 3:30am :| ) but that's all I've really heard of them.
