it really grinds my gears when companies do this. you become an edjumicated consumer, diligently researching products and prices on the internet, and visiting various websites looking for the best deal.
you notice that online store X has product y for $x. in your research you notice that the B&M website has product y for $x+1. now any logical person would think B&M website equals the B&M store and that the convenience of the store being just down the street would be better than waiting two business days for the product from the online store.
in comes...i dunno...assholery. you visit the B&M store only to see the price not $x+1, but $x+15. i do understand the cost of shipping the product to the stores; the cost of rent; and the cost of paying some pimply faced, holier-than-thou, why-are-you-coming-into-this-store, mouth breathing, dillhole. but i don't see how that can correlate to the same place charging $15 more at a store than online. especially when you have a print out of the product, from the B&M website, for the price of $x+1. how can you not honor that price?
