I was sitting in my car waiting for my wife to get a smoothie when a delivery van 'bumps' my bumper as he pulls along the curb in front of me. I was parked parallel, he turned too sharply and his outer right edge rear bumper grazed my outer left front bumper. I felt the impact as it jostled my car.
I get out and look at the bumper, and the damage is very minimal, just a scuff, no real damage, but I said to the guy, "BTW, You just hit my car as you pulled over." He says, "No, I didn't." I say, "Yes you did, here is the scuff." He says "No, I didn't."
I said something like, "whatever, but you DID hit my car."
Then he tries to turn the tables and says, "You aren't even supposed to be parked there."
I was legally parked, but the front bumper on my car was even with the 'no parking' zone boundary. As if it would of justified him hitting my car. Bleh. Anyways so I get back into my car. I never had any intention of filing a claim as the damage was just a small scuff and my car is a 1990 model. BUT the fact that the guy would deny it without even looking at my car pissed me off.
So I get back in my car, and watch the guy pull out some supplies and then wade around my car to deliver them. He then called me a bad name as he was getting back in his van, at which point I just had to laugh at him.
Some people must go through life perpetually in attack mode.
