<Rant> Why do people in my office insist on printing out every @!$!!@ E-Mail they get?
Read the stupid thing on your screen! Printing every message pretty much defeats the purpose of ELECTRONIC mail.
Every time I go to the printer to pick something up it is buried under a pile printed emails that the person probably isn't even going to read in the first place!

Thank you
That is all...

I get so much email regarding many different accounts over a very spanned amount of time. I cannot possibly keep track of what's been done and what hasn't sometimes so I print it out and make notes on it.

But I still don't understand why people print out EVERYTHING.

... and the purpose of e-mail is not defeated... think about how quickly they got it as opposed to snail mail.

Isn't corporate email, "in-house"? So Joe Shmoe from accounting can email Bob Wingnut in Personel which is in a seperate building or another floor of that same building.

Just curious, of course it's still faster than bringing a piece of paper to the dude.

This actually upsets my boss even more than me, he is determined to get as close to a "paperless" office as he can.

Dude, our company spans continents... and I am actually emailing someone back and forth from Belgium. Biggest problem is the damn time difference. 😉
