<RANT>
npeg2-02(config)#dial-peer cor custom
npeg2-02(config-dp-cor)# name 1
npeg2-02(config-dp-cor)# name 2
<snip>
npeg2-02(config-dp-cor)# name 63
npeg2-02(config-dp-cor)# name 64
npeg2-02(config-dp-cor)# name 65
No space for more class.

I've been frustrated with this limitation for years. Does anyone have any insight as to why COR class space is limited to 64 members? It really requires some creative solutions that make configurations unnecessarily obtuse to evaluate when implementing large (>10k) dial-peer configurations.
</RANT>

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

its the same with QoS classes...my only guess is that Cisco thought that number would be adequte for most all configurations.

arent the dial-peer CoR commands equivelant to CallManager partitions? is that an option?

They're not explicitly configured as partitions in IOS, but that's exactly what it is in CallMangler terms, where dial-peer cor list entries are associated to the CallMangler equivalent of search spaces.

I can imagine that with some of the older MPC860 CPUs, hashing through more than 64 elements on large applications might have been intensive; however, on the newer SB-1 and Motorola Freescale 7448s (1.67GHz in the 7206VXR NPE-G2 and 7201, sick!), this should be a trivial task.

<OT>Speaking of 7201s, has anyone gotten their hands on one of those yet? I'm already well-aquainted with the NPE-G2 and the idea of getting it in a 1U form factor @ 85 watts is very appealing to me.</OT>
