Around a month ago I bought a pair of American Eagle jeans, they cost around $30. I wore them maybe twice and they started to get a hole above one of the back pockets. Wore them a couple more times the whole got huge and eventually they tore down the side of the pocket. I had my gf's grandma sew them for me. All was well until this morning when I noticed that they were starting to rip again :|. Irks me to no end.

<----- won't be buying their jeans anymore

edit: forgot to mention that this is the second pair to do this.

it could have been worse, they could have ripped where something could have shown.

I thought ripped jeans was in.

What if your anandtech was hanging out of your pants instead?

I think you might get arrested if your HardOCP was showing though..

take it back DUH

that helps fuel the fire, I can't find the receipt.

Seems like I've been owned by AE.

I have had 4-5 pairs of american eagle jeans, and 3 or 4 all have ripped in the back pockets. They use to accept returns for these and give you store credit (w/o reciept), but now they classify the rips as "normal wear and tear" which I think is BS. I don't buy those jeans anymore.

Don't buy the trendy jeans and you'll be ok. Go to Anchor Blue, their jeans don't rip.

Levi's > *

Word.

Levi's are where its at. I've had Lee's rip apart on me in like 2 weeks, I've had AE's rip, a buncha other brands rip, but I've never had a pair of Levi's rip. Even the "distressed" styles that have a high potential of ripping have never ripped.

Levi's own all.

Dude. All you have to do is just take them back. I had a similar problem and they took my keans back on exchange even after a year of wearing them....

try lucky jeans.. .. got pairs that I have had for several years. No holes from anything except me stabbing myself with sharp objects and a barb wire fence fiasco.. ..

I can't say much about other jeans because the only jeans I wear regularly are Levi's. I have some that ripped, and some that held together.. but they are comfortable :)

I am wearing a pair of AE jeans now that I have had for almost a year. There are no rips and I still like them. I think you should stop cramming your fat ass into jeans too small for its immensity. By the way, it is irk not urk.
